A smaller project starts with fewer beads
For a compact design, try the 62-bead reindeer or 87-bead present. For fewer bags to sort, the wreath and snowflake each use just 2 Perler colors. Fewer colors does not always mean fewer beads.
The gingerbread house is a flat 23 × 23 design with 126 beads—not a 3D kit. The gingerbread man stays on one board too, but uses 367 beads. Compare the grid, bead count and palette before choosing.
Before you start
Which Christmas patterns use the fewest beads?
The reindeer uses 62 beads and the present uses 87. For a small palette, choose the 95-bead snowflake or 130-bead wreath: both use 2 Perler colors. Bead count and color count measure different things, so check the grid as well.
Do I need a special Christmas pegboard?
No. All 13 designs fit on one standard 29×29 square Midi pegboard. The listed grid size includes empty pegs around the design; the bead total counts only occupied cells.
How do I download a pattern or print a PDF?
Open a pattern, choose your bead brand and select Export Free. Download PNG or choose Print / save PDF. Use Quick edit to change individual beads in the editor first. Brand choices are Perler, Hama, Artkal A, Nabbi and Mard; the material list updates with your selection.
Can I make ornaments or a 3D gingerbread house?
These are flat, single-layer designs, including the gingerbread house—not a 3D assembly kit. They can be starting points for tags or flat decorations. Plan an attachment that supports the finished piece rather than relying on a narrow bead connection, and follow your bead manufacturer’s fusing instructions with adult supervision.
Are the patterns free, and can I sell what I make?
Viewing, editing and PNG/PDF export are free. Usage rights are listed on each detail page: original mybeadpattern designs marked CC0 have their own usage license, while reference rebuilds keep separate source information. Check the individual design’s terms before selling or redistributing; a free download is not a collection-wide commercial license.
