Perler Bead Wreath Pattern

A plain green ring and red bow make this two-color wreath a short sorting project. Its 21×21 chart uses 130 beads and leaves a generous opening in the center.

Perler Bead Wreath Pattern — 21×21 Perler color chart

Perler palette · codes hidden · closest screen-color matches

Beige cells are empty pegs; white cells are beads. Brand codes use the closest CIE76 screen-color match from this source palette. Check important shades against physical beads before building.

Making notes

Shape both sides of the green ring before placing the red bow across the bottom. Follow the two short ribbon tails downward and keep the central opening completely clear.

This wreath uses a continuous evergreen band rather than individually outlined leaves. A broad ribbon knot area and two short tails mark the bottom, while the empty opening is the main organizing feature. It is a ring decoration, not a filled circular badge or a collection of loose foliage pieces.

Lay the top arc from row 3 downward until the hollow center opens at row 7. Alternate left and right sides to keep the opening aligned, then close the lower shoulders behind the bow. Fill the red bow body across rows 14–17 and finish each tail at rows 18–20, checking its attachment before removing the board. The center is intentionally empty; green beads placed there erase the wreath opening. At the bottom, each ribbon tail descends from an occupied bow square, not from a diagonal-only contact. Check that both ribbon ends share an edge with the bow above them.

Pattern layout and bead count

Allocate the complete 21×21 grid on one square board. The motif spans columns 3–19 and rows 3–20, with a shorter blank margin beneath the ribbon than above the ring. Keep the lower guide row empty so the two tail tips do not accidentally gain another segment. Checkpoints: The widest green sides run through columns 3–6 and 16–19 on rows 10–12. Row 17 is a nine-bead red bow band across columns 7–15. Row 20 has only two Red beads, at columns 10 and 12; both tails remain attached to the bow. On row 8, the open center spans seven empty squares from columns 8–14.

Ways to customize this pattern

Replace the red ribbon with gold while keeping the green ring unchanged. Adding berries would be a separate customization; none are hidden in this simplified two-color chart.

Only two piles are needed: 96 Dark Green P10 and 34 Red P05 beads. The ribbon color occupies a single lower region, so it is easy to substitute before building. There are no berry accents, leaf veins or metallic highlights to sort.

Print and iron checklist

The hole makes the ring less resistant to twisting than a solid disc. Lift from several points around its circumference, supporting the bow rather than tugging either tail. Let the band cool level so the opening does not distort. Follow the selected bead brand's heating instructions. Before export, verify the 21×21 coordinates, 130-bead total and the selected brand’s merged color counts against the on-page material list.

Project ideas for Ribbon Wreath

Mount the wreath around a name on a card or use it as a small seasonal frame over a contrasting paper circle. Let a backing take the hanging thread load while preserving the decorative opening and two delicate ribbon ends.

The source grid uses A and the other design symbols only as internal color roles. The interactive chart replaces them with the selected manufacturer codes, while its material list combines any roles that map to the same bead color.
